If you’ve ever walked outside on a beautiful spring morning and felt your eyes start to itch within minutes, this app is for you.
SafeInhale is a free, informational air & allergy companion for the United States. For your area, it pulls today’s tree, grass, and ragweed pollen, the US air quality index, the weather, and national flu activity - and rolls all of it into one number you can actually use: your Breathe Score.
One score instead of five numbers
Most weather apps will happily show you a wall of raw numbers: an AQI here, a pollen index there, a humidity reading somewhere else. Then they leave you to figure out what it all means for your day.
SafeInhale does the opposite. It blends those signals into a single 0–100 Breathe Score and a plain read on whether conditions look favorable for going out - and it bends that score to you. If ragweed is your trigger, a windy ragweed afternoon will warn you even when the generic level says “Low.”
Same honest approach as our food scanner, SafeIntake: if we can’t verify something, we say so - never a falsely “good” score.
The companion to SafeIntake
SafeInhale comes from the same place as SafeIntake, our food and product safety scanner. The idea is simple:
- SafeIntake is what you put in your body.
- SafeInhale is what you let into your lungs.
What it’s not
SafeInhale is an informational tool, not a medical device. It surfaces public environmental data and a personalized read on it - you check, and you decide. The guided breathing exercises are general wellness, not medical treatment.
SafeInhale is now available free on the App Store. You can also try the pollen & air page right here.
